Rusthall Councillor Illuminates Lighting Failure

March 22, 2004 4:13 PM

Councillor Bob WrattenCouncillor Bob Wratten writes:-

I share concerns regarding the poor level of maintenance of our streetlights.

The contractor EDF Energy seems not up to the task.

A street light in Meadow Road, Rusthall has been out of action for over 5 months despite repeated requests by myself to our Borough Council to have the matter put right.

At the junction of Nellington Road and Longmeads, Rusthall a light is left on all day and all night!

This must all be taken into account when contracts come up for renewal, otherwise 'the lights will be going out all over England'.
