Residents want more kerbside collections
The introduction of the brown bin system has been poorly handled; but, what is worse, the Council has failed to listen to feedback from dissatisfied customers on the operation of the system, on the lack of kerb-side re-cycling facilities for glass and metal, and on the absence of re-cycling opportunities for plastic.
Liberal Democrats want the Council to consult all local residents and consider changes in the frequency of collections and the type of refuse collected from the doorstep.
We also want pressure put on manufacturers and retailers to reduce the amount of packaging they use.
