David Neve, "I will fight from the inside, not shout from the outside."

Tunbridge Wells Liberal Democrats have chosen their Candidates for the County Council elections which are being held on 5 May, the same date as the General Election. David Neve, Jamie Johnson, Marguerita Morton, Lorraine Braam and Chris Gilmore will be fighting to regain Liberal Democrat County seats for Tunbridge Wells.

David Neve has been a local Councillor for St James for 17 years and has served as Chair of Highways for 3 years and is currently Vice Chair of Scrutiny committee.

David works with adults who have learning difficulties. He has two children in further education and, like many, is feeling the pinch from Labour backtracking on tuition fees.

David prides himself on keeping in touch and fighting for local issues. David says, "I have a reputation for working hard for local residents. I believe in fighting on the inside, not shouting from the outside."

Jamie's sporting career has also seen her selected to play football at International level. She has served her country as a Combat Medical Technician with the Territorial Army during the first Gulf War.

Jamie says, "I am proud to have many friends and colleagues in the neighbourhood, and most of all I am committed to working with all of the local community."

Marguerita Morton

Marguerita, "Southborough residents have already seen how hard I work for them."

Marguerita Morton has lived in Tunbridge Wells for 26 years. She works as a legal consultant for the Treasury Solicitor in London and has legal and financial experience in large multinational and international organisations.

Since elected a Town Councillor two years ago for Southborough, Marguerita has campaigned to improve the parks and recreation areas, to ensure provision of high quality services to the community and the revitalisation of Southborough town centre.

Marguerita says, "Southborough residents have already seen me in action. I will continue to work closely with all members of the community to achieve further improvements to your quality of life."

Lorraine Braam

Lorraine Braam, "The Liberal Democrats will ensure that local people are heard."

Lorraine Braam has lived and raised her family in Pembury for 30 years. She currently works part time for the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Her children were educated at local schools.

Lorraine was a Tunbridge Wells Borough Councillor for twelve years and sat on several major committees. She served as Chairman of the Council's most senior committee.

Lorraine says, "The towns and villages in this area make a vibrant community that need the positive, active and listening representation that I, as a Liberal Democrat, will provide."
