The UK's creative industry needs protection from illegal downloading
The Government has launched Creative Britain, outlining measures to punish internet service providers if they fail to take action against the illegal downloading of music, films and TV programmes. While the Government's plans seem reasonable at first sight, people have been left almost entirely in the dark about how it will all be funded.
Lib Dem Shadow Minister for Culture Don Foster states "If Labour are serious about supporting this rapidly growing part of the economy, they must now provide clear details of where the funding will come from to convince everyone that this is more than just a well-meaning wish list."
