Welsh Lib Dem priorities include more devolution, defending civil liberties and creating real social justice
Nick Clegg has challenged the Welsh Liberal Democrats to end Labour's domination of the nation. Speaking at the party's Welsh conference for the first time as leader, Mr Clegg asked, "What has 100 years of Labour dominance in Wales delivered? Families are trapped in poverty. A boy born in Merthyr will die five years before a boy born in Ceredigion."
Highlighting the Welsh Lib Dem priorities of more devolution, defending civil liberties and creating real social justice, he said the need for "a new politics, for an alternative to Labour in Wales, is overwhelming."
