Why I'm standing...

November 18, 2009 5:20 PM
By David Hallas, PPC, Tunbridge Wells Lib Dems

I, like many people, have become increasingly disillusioned with the political classes that occupy the seats of power in Westminster. The Conservative front bench is packed full of professional politicians who have never experienced any of the real life problems faced by ordinary people. Many Tory MPs have been exposed in the media for their blatant disregard of the ordinary person as shown abundantly by the expenses scandal and their recently published views on NHS privatisation. I am an ordinary local primary school teacher who wants to win this election because I want to put right the greed and selfishness that has entered our parliament. I want to do what all MPs should be doing and that is representing the ordinary people with the honesty and respect we deserve.

3 Reasons to vote for me

  • I will not take a second home on expenses.
  • Cut class sizes not school's budgets.
  • A Fresh Start to Regenerate Tunbridge Wells.
