"I, like many people, have become increasingly disillusioned with the political classes that occupy the seats of power in Westminster. The Conservative front bench is packed full of professional politicians who have never experienced any of the real life problems faced by ordinary people. Many Tory MPs have been exposed in the media for their blatant disregard of the ordinary person as shown abundantly by the expenses scandal and their recently published views on NHS privatisation. I am an ordinary local primary school teacher who wants to win this election because I want to put right the greed and selfishness that has entered our parliament. I want to do what all MPs should be doing and that is representing the ordinary people with the honesty and respect we deserve."

"I am currently a primary school teacher in Sevenoaks however my local roots in this county go back much further. I was born in Maidstone in 1980 and spent my undergraduate education studying politics and history at the University of Kent. I moved to Japan in 2003 to teach English where I became involved in the Trade Union movement which culminated in a trip to the Japanese parliament to give my opinion in a Senate hearing on `non-Japanese workers rights`. I returned to the UK in 2006 and trained as a UK qualified primary school teacher, again in Kent, at Christ Church University in Canterbury. I have been active in the Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks Liberal Democrats enjoying my time campaigning for the local Councillors. I am looking forward to the future securing as many Lib Dem MPs in Kent as possible."
