Sign our pothole petition

There has been a massive increase in the number of potholes in roads across the Tunbridge Wells constituency, many of which remain unrepaired causing damage, safety risks and inconvenience to cars, cyclists and pedestrians.

We appreciate that local government budgets are under unprecedented strain. Indeed, in April 2023, the Liberal Democrats called for local authority highways maintenance budgets to be fully restored following unprecedented cuts, so local authorities have the necessary funds to repair their pothole backlogs.

In the meantime it is critical that Kent County Council make this a priority. Join us as we call on Kent County Council to improve its highway maintenance programme, to make sure that repairs are permanent, to cut waste and to improve our roads.
